Hybrid Position: Janitorial/ Maintenance Staff
Job description: This position calls for a person that has both janitorial & building maintenance skills. The job will require a split schedule between positions.
Janitorial
Under the direct supervision of the Manager/Assistant Manager, the housekeeping/janitorial staff will:
- Clean all Lobby Bathrooms
- Check offices and clean, as needed
- Clean billiard room, Theater, Playroom,
- Sweep & Mop in front of the elevators and the hallways
- Mop floor of Refuse room, wash down walls, as needed
- Wipe down trash chute door
- Clean Exterior Windows on South side of Building as needed
- Check walls for stains and clean spots
- Check that all lights are working and if there are burned out lights inform the maintenance department.
- Hose down Valet area as needed (minimum 1X per week)
- Clean Spider webs from Light Fixtures
- Hose down & disinfect Compactor room floors daily
- Clean Compactor and disinfect once a week, or more as needed
- Spray trash chute from OS Floor to bottom once a week

Building Maintenance
Under the direct supervision of the Building Engineer, the Building Maintenance staff responsibilities would include assisting the Building Engineer in:
- Performing preventative maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
- Handling & fulfilling day-to-day maintenance/engineering work orders (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Prepare Surfaces & Paint
- Pressure wash surfaces when needed
- Assist in loading and unloading supplies from delivery trucks
- Respond to emergency and after-hours incidents, if called
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Start organizing Pool Deck furniture at 8AM (Friday’s)
- Vacuum Pool (Engineer will check equipment and take chemical Readings)
- Empty all garbage containers and put in new liners
- Wash down deck as needed
- Clean pool Deck Bathrooms
- Clean pool tiles when needed
- Clean ALL Breezeways & Stairwells 7, 8 & 9
- Clean garage:
a) Empty trash containers
b) Remove spider webs
c) Pressure wash garage, when needed
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate should possess:
- 1+ years demonstrated experience in the field of commercial building operations
- Some working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to deal professionally with building residents/guests and vendors
- Speak English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
