The first new 72 room boutique hotel to be built in St. Pete Beach in decades, The Hotel Zamora is a white-washed Mediterranean palace with breathtaking architecture anchored in a bygone era. Inspired by its namesake Spanish province, the hotel’s striking Romanesque façade is the framework for expansive luxury suites overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico. Stylish dining and laid-back leisure have become the new norm in Florida’s fashionable Tampa Bay.
We are looking for qualified Housekeeping staff which include Housemen. The Housekeeping staff is responsible for cleaning while the Housemen provide general hotel support by stocking and organizing items for the housekeepers.
Summary for Housekeeping:
The Hotel Room Housekeeper will clean, restock, and maintain hotel rooms as assigned while providing exemplary guest service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
> Receives list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritizes rooms requesting early cleaning.
> Checks the inventory of cleaning cart and adds any necessary supplies.
> Knocks and announces self before entering room; returns at a later time if rooms are occupied.
> Removes soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from each assigned room and provides fresh replacements.
> Neatly makes beds and stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
> Cleans and disinfects bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel polices.
> Wipes surfaces in room and cleans mirrors.
> Vacuums floors and removes trash.
> Checks complimentary coffee, snack, and toiletry supplies in the room, restocking according to provided hotel checklist and policy.
> Ensures room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround.
> Notifies supervisor of room availability and reports any suspicious activity to security.
> Ensures soiled linens are laundered, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels in laundry room as needed.
> Notifies maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
> Takes found items to designated lost and found area if guest has checked out.
> Performs other related duties as assigned.
Summary for Houseman:
The Hotel Houseman will provide support as needed for the Housekeeping staff and the Hotel in general while providing exemplary guest service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
> Using your watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.
> Maintaining, organizing and replenishing store-room supplies, while assisting other departments as necessary.
> Demonstrating a commitment to deliver exceptional guest service
> Helping Maintenance with some of their daily duties
> Removing trash, vacuuming and mopping the hallways, cleaning dining room area
> Keeping the stairways clean
> Picking of trash or debris from outside as well as keeping our pool area sparkling for our guest
> Distributing linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel
> Sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming guest corridor carpet, sweeping carpet corners with broom before > vacuuming
> Assisting Room Attendants in moving furniture when needed
> Serving as a backup in the Housekeeping Department as needed
> Delivering miscellaneous guest requests to guest rooms, supplies to guest rooms
> Performing other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
> Detail-oriented and thorough.
> Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
> Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
> Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
Education and Experience:
> GED, High School Graduate Preferred; Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
> Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
Physical Requirements:
> Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
> Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
> Willingness to work a rotation seven-day work cycle on varying shifts.
