What We Are Looking For:

Fantastic opportunity to become the Human Resources Generalist for a start up company that runs an online auction site and is a secondary marketplace for customer returns and other liquidation items.

Compensation And Benefits:

  • $50,000 – $60,000* Annual Salary

Your Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement and manage hiring programs to swiftly hire 30+ employees
  • Experience with owning payroll and using a payroll system to manage employees and a PTO program a plus
  • Implement and oversee the full cycle recruiting and talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, background checks and the onboarding process
  • Recommend recruitment strategies to fill anticipated hiring needs
  • Identify future hiring needs and design appropriate job descriptions
  • Establish and manage programs to continuously hire for high turnover roles
  • Provide weekly talent acquisition reporting/analytics to management team
  • Collaborate with the management team for budget planning
  • Establish, implement and oversee the company’s professional culture
  • Manage company health, safety hygiene and security standards
  • Provide HR guidance to ensure compliance with all company policies, handbook, procedures, directives, and laws
  • Ensure all HR policies and programs (existing, new, or in development) are strategically, operationally, and administratively effective
  • Keep the management team informed of significant issues that may jeopardize the achievement of company goals and document all HR related incidents
  • Ability to help move company into paperless Talent Acquisition (given business model of multi-location)
  • Desire to grow HR expertise as the company grows in order to one day possibly own the entire HR function

Qualifications We Require:

  • 5+ years of experience in a variety of Human Resources functions
  • 3+ years of talent acquisition experience
  • Hiring warehouse and/or safety are a plus
  • Payroll experience
  • SHRM Certification (not required but preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Skills We Are Looking For:

  • Proven success with establishing, implementing, and managing the full cycle talent acquisition process
  • Proven knowledge of and experience with recruitment at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to design and implement process improvement initiatives specific to those related directly to employees
  • Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles and practices of HR including employment law and compliance requirements (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Experience working at a company with multiple employees at multiple sites/locations is a plus
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
  • Establish, implement and oversee the company employee handbook, policies and procedures
