Our Hotel

With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is located in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests. It is an urban resort with Miami’s only private beach.

Overview of Position

The In-Room Dining Manager maintains an efficient operation of the department and meets guests’ expectations for quality of the product and service. He/She will make sure that all standards and procedures of the department are being followed and are consistent. The In-Room Dining Manager will be overseeing the overall day to day operation, planning, and long term outlook of In Room Dining. Other responsibilities include—but are not limited to—scheduling staff per business levels; liaising with Sales and Guest Relations to ensure special IRD requests are met; performing weekly forecasts; performing daily requisitions; providing leadership and support to Assistant IRD Manager and Coordinators; coaching and counseling; training staff; and attending all relevant hotel meetings. Proficiency in Micros is a plus, as well as training in ServSafe and TIPS. Incumbent must be customer focused, creative and results driven.

The Manager of In-Room Dining reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage and is responsible for supervising the In-Room Dining team.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 3 years experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.
Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Have excellent communication and organization skills.
Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.
Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.
Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.
Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
