Kamasu, Kissaki Hospitality Group’s brand new concept, is now open in Hudson Yards. Kamasu will be the first Kissaki brand to focus on approachable, high quality and innovative sushi, hand rolls and donburi.
Kamasu is currently seeking experienced kitchen personnel to work in our fast paced, upscale dining environment. Rapid promotion available to correct candidates ready to prove themselves. The culinary team at Kamasu will participate in prep and production, as well as food service. Sushi Production – maki and temaki is a big plus. We are looking to grow our team and we are willing to train the right individual.
We are seeking the following:
KITCHEN MANAGER:
– At least 2 years managing a professional kitchen team
– Hands on working in the Kitchen to ensure that recipes and established procedures are followed and standards met and maintained.
– Work closely with General Manager in leading day to day operations to ensure that each service is succesful
Compensation: Starting at $65K per year
KITCHEN COOKS:
– Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
– Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
– Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
– Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour
