Kendall Regional Medical Center is a 417-bed, full-service, acute hospital providing 24-hour comprehensive care in the community including trauma, burn, surgical, women’s and children’s services, behavioral health and diagnostic services, along with two full service free-standing ER facilities, one in Doral and the other at The Palms Town & Country.

Job Description:

The Transporter ensures the safe transport of patients throughout the hospital. Acts as a courier between the related units of the hospital.Transports patients safely in wheelchair/stretcher facing forward, side rails up and not rapidly.
Maintains therapeutic communication with patient
Utilizes appropriate positioning aides/devices to provide safety & comfort to the patient.
responsible for transporting patients to and from the designated areas they are to be transferred to.
Assists in departmental cleaning and maintenance of supplies.
Transports specimen, lab and pharmacy items, and equipment
Qualifications

High school diploma or the equivalent.
Previous experience in hospital setting/transporting patients.
BLS Required.
EMT/CNA preferred.
