Packy’s Sports Pub is a thriving neighborhood sports bar that has been in business for over 10 years. We are the place to be for sports, live music, pool, darts, great Irish pub food and all kinds of drinks in Lighthouse Point. We have great reviews on several social media outlets, including our food, and we would like to only make it better.
Despite the coronavirus nonsense, we are hiring for 2 managerial positions. One is our kitchen manager/head chef, which would be expected to work 40-50 hour/week and 5-6 days/week. Weekends are a must due to Saturday and Sunday football. Kitchen managers are responsible for ensuring accurate food orders and delivery, food quality, food costs, recipe consistency, training of other cooks, food hygiene, conformance to food safety regulations, menu upgrades and modifications, lunch and dinner specials, soups of the day, etc. Pay will depend on your experience and abilities to continue our tradition of great sports bar food.
Our other need is for a night bar manager. Due to current County orders, we are required to close at 11 PM, but normally we close at 2 AM Sunday-Thursday and 3 AM on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully we will be returning to normal hours soon. For now, the need is from 5 or 6 PM until closing. Typically, all staff is out of here within 30-60 minutes after closing. The night manager position is definitely needed Sunday-Wednesday nights while the rest of the week will depend on your needs and the needs of the business. The night manager is responsible for ensuring our employees are conforming to our policies, TVs are programmed for the appropriate sports, music is appropriate for the crowd, expediting food, troubleshooting POS, wifi and printer issues, counting drawers, properly closing the bar at the end of the night and using good judgement throughout the night on any and all issues that come up in this type of setting. Pay will depend on your experience and abilities to properly manage our night shifts.
