Twisted Management Group now hiring an Kitchen Manager for a high volume restaurant and banquet facility.
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience and food knowledge in multiple styles, forward thinking ideas, a passionate work ethic and positive team building skills. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the food industry that includes controlling costs, creating exciting and innovative new menus, and supervising a large staff.
Duties to include (but not limited to)
Purchase food and supplies from vendors approved by the company
Monitor inventory
Develop menus and item pricing
Supervise staff in accordance with company standards and health code regulations
Hire, train and supervise kitchen personnel
Stay current on restaurant industry trends
Identify new culinary techniques and presentations
Assist kitchen staff with food prep and recipe creation
Maintain a company set level of food service quality, consistency and ticket times
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
