This could develop into a Sous Chef position for the right person!
We are a family owned and chef run business and promote a positive/fun environment to work in. We are proud of our staff and have a wonderful customer base that loves our food! We describe our eatery as “New American with a Caribbean flair”!
The Ideal Candidate has:
-A high level of culinary skill & creativity
-Excellent knife skills
-Minimum 2 years experience in an upscale restaurant or culinary degree
-Ability to work in a team environment
-A clean and presentable appearance
-An outgoing, energetic, and positive attitude
-Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
-Open availability to work weeknights & weekends
-Reliable transportation
Job Duties:
-Knowledge of safety procedures and safe temperatures that ingredients must be kept and prepared to avoid foodborne illness.
-Ability to create specials & collaborate on menu items with the Chef.
-Ability to interact with a variety of other people, such as waitstaff, dishwashers, management and customers.
-Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of customers.
-Ability to follow recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant.
