Baba’s Pierogies is looking for a seasoned prep cook/line cook, At Baba’s Pierogies you will learn about Eastern European cuisine. Our menu is focused around a specialty European dumpling called “Pierogi”. We have a variety of pierogi flavors that make our restaurant unique to other Eastern European centric restaurants. Our restaurant is looking for someone who is capable of following recipes exactly, producing plates that represent the quality of Baba’s food. It is essential that you possess proficient sautéing skills, must be able to perfectly brown Baba’s handmade pierogi to order quickly. We require candidates to work the pierogi station on some of their weekly shifts, on this station you will be trained to make pierogi, an Eastern European dumpling traditionally filled with potato or cheese. Each pierogi is made by hand from freshly rolled out dough (similar to an Italian pasta dough), once the dough has been rolled out it is cut into circles and each one is filled with one of Baba’s specialty fillings, then they are skillfully sealed. Candidate Requirements:
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Proficient Dishwasher
• Proficient knife skills
• Knowledge of health code
• Sauté skills
• 4 years of line cook/prep cook experience
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Keep clean station
• Committed/Hard working
• Pastry chef experience is a plus
• Pasta making experience is a plus
• Capable of standing for long period of time
• Able to anticipate needs of kitchen
• 1 year work commitment
