We’re looking for thoughtful and organized individuals to join our team and play an integral role in helping us bring produce to the people. In this position, you will deliver 13” square boxes to our community members at their homes throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. In doing so, you will communicate clearly with customers about the timing and location of their delivery and reach out to the Local Roots team with any questions that come up along the way.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Access to your own vehicle
A clean driving record with experience driving in NYC
The ability to routinely lift and carry 50lb boxes
Self-starter, team player
Can work quickly and efficiently while staying calm in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication and listening skills
Warehouse, grocery, or delivery experience preferred
Attention to detail
Punctual, reliable
Access to a smart phone with GPS navigation and the ability to download our routing app
Communicate clearly with the Local Roots Team at all times, voicing any concerns from customer communications
Represent Local Roots as a thoughtful and passionate advocate for local farmers and fellow New Yorkers
Hours and Availability
This is a part-time position
Tuesday through Friday, 3-6 hour shifts available
This position is paid hourly, depending on experience
Warehouse is located in Brooklyn
