Responsibilities
Eastman Chemical Company, a global advanced materials and specialty additives company that produces a broad range of products found in items people use every day, is currently accepting applications for our Logistics Operator position at its manufacturing plant in Texas City, Texas.
Routine job duties include:
Loading/unloading bulk liquid materials utilizing railcars, tank trucks, and Iso-tanks
Bulk liquid material transfers throughout specified tank farms
Preparation and loading of finished products for domestic and export shipments
Operating a trackmobile and switching railcars
Required Skills:
A strong commitment to working safely and the safety of others
Ability to effectively work in a team environment
Ability to perform high quality, efficient work to meet customer expectations
Ability to perform all routine job duties with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to ascend and descend storage tank structures with fixed fall protection using ladders or stairs
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Work 12-hour shifts indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions
Qualifications
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
At least two years of plant or related industrial experience
Process Technology degree preferred
Demonstrated capability to use computers and other electronic interfaces for plant operation, inventory tracking, or workflow facilitation
