As a Forbes Travel Guide rated company, Evolution oversees the pool and beach operations at luxurious resorts. Our team is seeking to add experienced & vibrant pool and beach servers to our team. The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience in a luxury resort/hotel setting and embraces the fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for “extending that COMO feeling” to the guests. This individual must be professional and adhere to confidentiality, as you will have the opportunity to serve celebrities and VIP’s. You will be able to work on your Tan as the position is Outside and includes extended exposure working under the sun
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverage and service.
Genuinely interacts and holds professional conversations with guests.
Proactively attends to guests around the pool and beach area.
Proactively keeps workspace and service area clean of debris.
Hold yourself accountable to maintain an elegant personal appearance.
Hold yourself accountable to maintain all uniform in exquisite condition.
Writes order on check, as well as verify membership or resort guest account.
Use point of sale system.
Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. Delivers products that have been ordered by patrons to designated destination promptly.
Garnishes and decorates dishes as needed and includes appropriate condiments and sides prior to serving.
Serves beverages and displays knowledge of wine and other alcoholic drinks.
Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed, must provide ongoing service throughout and follow Hotel guidelines.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
Present checks with script and posts charges to member/guest account.
Daily checklists of duties and monitor linen supplies.
Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course.
Maintain the daily operations of the beach within the guidelines.
Providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to all guests
Assist guests with setting up umbrellas and beach chairs.
Fold towels in morning and set up towel/water station
Collect and store umbrellas and beach chairs at the end of day.
Daily set-up, breakdown, cleaning, washing of beach equipment (umbrellas, beach chairs, lounge chairs, Cabanas)
Collecting and bagging soiled (dirty) towels and transporting them back to the hotel laundry
Clean the beach/pool of any loose garbage. Take the garbage off the beach to our garbage area.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US driver’s license.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle check and background check.
Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation, and exhibit full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing and crouching.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally run.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
High school diploma or equivalent.
