Mi’Talia Kitchen & Bar, an upscale Italian restaurant located in South Miami, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations. The General Manager will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing financial performance, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
– Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
– Supervise and train staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
– Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
– Continuously improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Staff Leadership:
– Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff members.
– Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
– Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and promotes employee morale.
Customer Service:
– Ensure exceptional hospitality is consistently delivered to enhance guest satisfaction.
– Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and in a professional manner.
– Build strong relationships with regular customers and seek to exceed their expectations.
Financial Performance:
– Develop and manage budgets, sales targets, and cost control measures.
– Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
– Analyze financial reports and take corrective actions as needed to optimize business results.
– Health and Safety Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and internal standards.
– Implement and maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness practices throughout the restaurant.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a General Manager or Restaurant Manager in an upscale dining establishment, preferably in Italian cuisine.
– Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
– Exceptional knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, staffing, and financial management.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and make sound decisions under pressure.
– Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
– Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
