Momoya Soho Japanese Restaurant (opening early Spring 2022) is looking for All FOH staff.
Momoya Soho is a modern new concept upscale Japanese restaurant featuring a full Wine/sake/beer bar, a full sushi bar serving Omakase, great kitchen foods with Kaiseki touch and the main dining room, outdoor seating in the heart of the SOHO area (a corner of Prince St. & Mulberry St.) We will feature Wine/sake pairings with our food menu items with great selections of wine/sake and wine/sake/soju-based specialty cocktails.
Qualification/Requirements:
Server / bartender:
• Minimum 2-3 years of fine dining or wine/sake bar experiences in the NYC area.
• A passion and excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture or at least interested in learning them.
• Sake and wine knowledge a huge plus
• Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment with strong communication skills with a great smile
Busser/Runner/barback
• Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment with good communication skills
• Minimum 2-3 years of fine dining experiences
Host staff
• Minimum 2-3 years of fine dining in the NYC area.
• A passion and excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture, or at least interested in learning them.
• Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment, strong phone &
excellent communication skills with fluent English and good typing skill, great smile a must
• Comfortable with developing the VIP guest program, coordinating large parties, making a reservation for the private / buyout parties, Recognizing our regular and VIP guests
