Overnight Selector Full Time

Overview:

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.

Summary:

Mr. Greens is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Selectors that can work individually selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will then fit the items on a pallet plastic wrap the bundles, transport pallets to a shipping dock and in some cases, load them onto a trailer for delivery to customers. All employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Utilize the necessary pick sheet to select the product.
• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
• Operate pallet jack to remove the case(s) of product from storage rack.
• Adhere to proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process daily.
• Responsible for reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on a timely basis.
• Moves orders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Must maintain product integrity with proper handling & report damage to management immediately.

Physical Demands:

Frequent walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and lifting 50+ lbs. 

Environment:

• Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)
• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (32F to 60F)
• Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Qualifications: 

• Ability to manage time in a fast-paced industry
• Candidates must be reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a positive attitude and work well independently with a team
• Minimum 1-year experience distribution warehouse required
• Minimum 1-year experience using ride on pallet jack required
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
