Our lifestyle brand is searching for a Packaging Line Operator to join our team at the distribution center. We need an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet.

Under close supervision from the Shift Supervisor, the Packaging Line Operator I will be responsible for performing various tasks, as to set up, operate, dissemble, assemble, clean and monitor, troubleshoot on assigned machine. The Packaging Line Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
Duties and responsibilities
Read and understand work order specifications and procedures before setting up the machine and getting all the packaging components.
Supply the packaging machines with the corresponding materials, such as bottles, labels, cottons, seals, etc), as required in the specifications.
Clean the equipment when the work order is finished following established cleaning procedures.
Maintain cleaning logs up to date.
Set up the machine to be ready for the work order and seek approval from QA or Line Leader.
During the product run, the operator will be responsible for the proper function and performance of the packaging line equipment.
Complete in-process controls and fill out the run sheets in the proper time intervals.
Review that the finished goods complies with all the specifications required in the work order.
Follow appropriate documentation practices when signing every box that have been completed.
Report any deviation that cannot be corrected by the Supervisor and Quality.
Document and maintain inventory.
Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly manner in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Follow GMP throughout the run.
Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours a week, evenings or weekend required.
Qualifications
Experience as a Packaging Line Operator (preferred).
Knowledge of Production Procedures (preferred)
Attention to detail and quality minded.
Able to follow directions and communicate, able to write clearly and is literate.
Physical stamina and strength, energetic.
Multitasker
High School diploma
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Working conditions
This position operates in a manufacturing environment, exposed to high-speed machine and sounds or noise that could be distracting and uncomfortable. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to operate a pallet jack to retrieve supplies and materials.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk but mainly the job is performed standing up. This job also requires bending, squatting and the ability to lift material and product up to 30 pounds. Packaging Line Operators often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
Requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, hair coverings and uniform.
