Title: Part-time Line Cook
Reports To: Head Chef
Department/Location: Kitchen
Hourly Pay: $14-17 DOE
Plus weekly sales bonus $ (~$2 per hour average bonus)
Pay evaluation after 2 months
Role Overview
Responsible for setting up, coordinating, organizing, preparing, and plating food orders for the guests according to the plating procedures while adhering to ticket time standards.
We are looking to add another team member who is passionate about food, learning more about beer, and travel. Our taproom in Grant Park brings all these components together in a homey atmosphere. Taking inspiration from beer gardens in Bavaria, pubs in Yorkshire, cafes in Brussels, and drinking halls in Prague, the Elsewhere team designed a space that will take you from the daily grind and transport you to a place where the beer is crisp, the food is delicious, and the service is always warm. Our food program is inspired by Latin American dishes from the heart.
Essential Duties and Qualifications Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
• Must be available nights and weekends
• Sets up, stocks, and organizes all workstations at the beginning of the day
• Food preparation prior to and during service
• Follows recipes accurately and maintains high standards
• Committed to providing excellent service
• Can contribute to a positive teamwork environment
• Can develop positive & respectful working relationship with team members
• Has the ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively with team
• Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Displays a positive and urgent approach to all assignments
• Precisely follows instructions for recipes, food preparation, and sanitation
• Willing to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen
