POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: PACKER
DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION
POSITION STATUS: HOURLY, PART TIME
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have flower quality knowledge
Must be flexible in working varying schedule hours
Must be able to manage a pallet hack
Must be able to lift 40 pounds throughout the day (flower boxes)
Must be organized, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify that the proper bouquet types are packed for the appropriate cases, with the proper count per case.
Verify that box label matches the bouquet type packed for it.
Assist in monitoring flower quality and bouquet construction as they are produced.
Assist the line leads in the course of their duties to ensure production speed is as fast as possible while still maintaining quality of finished product.
Assist in line changeover to ensure a minimum of down time.
Assist in verifying UPC/dump date labeling accuracy on finished bouquets.
Assist in ensuring that all finished bouquet product meet Encore Floral quality & construction standards, and match the particular recipe.
Assist in initial morning setup for production and line transitions during the course of day.
Assist with related areas as needed: bouquet boxing, bucket filling, etc.
Assist in production area cleanup at end of day.
