The Part-Time Recruitment/Advisor Specialist provides support on issues affecting enrollment in the academic areas and provides advising support to students. This is a temporary grant-funded position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides students advisement and counseling Provides support with enrollment management, student referral, and recruitment of new students into departmental programs Works closely with Academic Affairs regarding curriculum updates, scheduling, student concerns, and needs Provides support for promotional brochures and pamphlets used as advertising materials Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years related experience
All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures Possess experience in counseling and advising Ability of communicate effectively with students Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, and weekend assignments
Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
