Job Duties and Responsibilities: Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Plans Coordinator Assistant performs technical and advanced clerical work processing plans in the Development Services Department. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, verifying property ownership and contractor licenses, tracking plans throughout the review process to ensure compliance, issuing permits and calculating bond amounts for construction projects, scheduling inspections and providing various reports.
Qualifications: A high school diploma of equivalent is required.
Three years of field or office experience in technical construction related work is required. Clerical experience and blueprint experience is also required.
A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
