**In this position you can expect to work 2 days per week in the office and will work remotely the remaining days.
The responsibilities of the Procurement Intern include:
Attend training sessions with an emphasis on fundamental Procurement and Coupa concepts and how they are applied at American National
Manages the receipt of goods and entry of all invoices (AP or Vendor) into Coupa, and will be responsible for creating a tracking and reporting system that will be critical to the management of the team’s workload.
Research and Validate vendor payment terms (SAP – Coupa – Invoices) to ensure proper compliance controls
Develop and use critical thinking skills while learning and use of AN’s Procurement platform, Coupa.
Assist in configuration and maintenance of Coupa modules (CLM, Invoices, Inventory)
Engage with leadership and internal stakeholders through project exploration and strategic collaboration
Assist in the management of data and reports that enhance Procurement operations
Participate in assignments to obtain departmental knowledge of company systems, processes, and goals
Shadow Buyers on negotiating process and agreements with suppliers
Review/Assist with documentation of Training Materials and Departmental Procedures
Support project lead on the collective department project – Creating Coupa Training Video Clips and content for Procurement Connect site
Qualifications
The Procurement department desires a business, finance, procurement, or supply chain management student who possesses a genuine passion for procurement supported by a practical approach to daily operations.
This role is for someone who can handle ambiguity, likes building things, and enjoys being a part of a small, scrappy team that gets things done.
It is essential that he/she be a polished, articulate professional who has a desire to understand centralized corporate procurement operations.
He/She must be a team player and have a passion for exceptional customer service while understanding the value of developing, professional relationships with Management, Internal stakeholders and 3rd party Vendors.
The candidate should also demonstrate a strong level of Intellectual curiosity – we are after all looking to mold the next generation of American National procurement ninjas
