Thomas Mushroom & Specialty Produce is seeking a dynamic & experienced Produce Warehouse Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for the produce industry, possess strong leadership, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and have a proven track record of success in produce sales & warehouse management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the produce warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping
• Oversee a team of warehouse associates, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate operations
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred (experience will be considered in leu of education)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a produce warehouse management role
• Strong knowledge of produce industry standards, food safety regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
Preferred:
• Bilingual in English & Spanish
• Excellent track record in Sales
• Excellent communication skills
• SQF Food Safety experience
• QuickBooks experience
