Position Summary:
The Real Estate Project Assistant will assist the attorneys in the Real Estate Department with all aspects of the closing process for a multi-national law firm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Involvement with commercial real estate transactions
Prepares closing checklists
Orders municipal requirements (water certificates, transfer tax stamps, bulk sales, etc.)
Orders UCC Searches and prepares results charts
Attends to formations and qualifications in various jurisdictions
Obtains EINs, orders surveys, and orders PZRs
Orders title commitments and prepares closing binders
Other duties as assigned

The candidate must be a self-starter but also a team player
Must work well under periodic pressure to meet tight deadlines
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented and able to learn new technology quickly
Candidate must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
Candidate must have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner under minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
