The General Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring our guests have Exceptional Hospitality experiences. The position will also be responsible for all restaurant and lounge operations, developing the team and overseeing the financial performance of the restaurant and lounge. The position requires someone with an excellent work ethic, ability to follow established standard operating procedures and dedication to hospitality. Someone who loves interacting with guests, is detail-oriented, organized, is a team player and understands the company’s mission and core values.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Exceeding customer expectations of service, food quality, and cleanliness.
•Addressing and resolving customer complaints quickly and professionally.
•Maintaining a positive company and brand image through involvement in the community.
•Maintaining company standards in food safety, product, and facility specifications.
•Ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy restaurant by following sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations and maintaining security systems.
•Hiring, training, and developing team members.
•Working with Marketing team to implement marketing programs to attract new customers.
•Working with the Executive Chef to control purchases and inventory.
•Working with promotors and nightlife teams to maximize lounge sales and deliver a consistent, unique and safe nightlife experience.
•Working with the Sales Events manage to deliver exceptional group dining and event experiences on and off promises.
•Executing the established restaurant business plan, following established budgets, implementing marketing initiatives, developing weekly sales projections, and maintaining proper staffing levels.
•Ensuring the profitability and strong financial performance of restaurant and lounge.
•Filling out and submitting all required reports and maintaining records in a timely and accurate manner.
•Keeping up to date on industry trends.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•College degree from an accredited university in Hospitality Management, or Business, strongly preferred.
•6+ years’ experience as a General Manager of a restaurant with over $8M in sales required.
•Experience managing a venue including nightlife, entertainment and high-volume beverage program.
•Extensive wine and spirits knowledge with experience actively managing or overseeing dynamic wine and beverage programs.
•Experience managing large dining events, restaurant buy-outs and offsite promotional events.
•Scheduling, inventory and purchasing experience.
•Experience training and developing all front of the house team members including bartenders, servers and nightlife team members.
•Excellent verbal and communication skills.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSING: Food and Alcohol Safety training (Servesafe)
