The Ticketing & Tariff Analyst is responsible for analyzing, identifying and actioning all tickets with potential financial recovery. This position is critical for the financial recovery of all open tickets that may represent up to 1M or more per year. This position is also responsible for identifying process gaps that cause service failures and financial loss for immediate correction. This role must be able to work within multiple GDS and be a subject matter expert in front and back office tools and processes. This role is also the main point of escalation for front line issues with ticketing and or pricing issues that require expertise in faring and possible communication and resolution with the airline vendor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies, presents and implements process improvements to improve overall cost savings and efficiencies regarding issuance of airline tickets, exchanges and debit memos.
Analyze ticketing data for full financial recovery of all open tickets or gaps for financial recovery to the company
Oversees the dispute and payment of airline debit memos
Prepares reports to present management with status updates and ongoing development of business changes and/or gather data to validate needed changes.
Adapts to changing circumstances in the airline marketplace (lower contracted rates, airline strikes, possible airline related work stoppages, schedule changes, etc.) that may monetarily impact the ticket changes made by travel partners and/or direct guests.
Participates in special projects as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred and or a combination or 5 plus years¿ experience in the travel, airline industry required in ticketing and tariff
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Clear understanding of airline tariffs and fare rules required
Expert in GDS systems and formats (Amadeus, Sabre) required
Strong analytical and reporting skills required.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Lotus Notes and Hyperion Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills
Adaptable to changing business environment Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with vendors, internal departments and management.
Must demonstrate high level of initiative, be self-motivated and disciplined
