Job Overview

Team of 6 people hired to assist Macy’s Parade Studio with the installation and removal of the Christmas Light Show. Set up of show is a 4 night installation-taking place after store hours (example of hrs; 8:00pm to 4:00am). Load out will take place over 3 nights. Again all work takes place after store hours.

Essential Functions

• Assist Parade Studio with installation of show props

· Truss & rigging

· Heavy lifting may be required

Qualifications and Competencies

Education/Experience:

· Construction experience preferred

· Theater tech experience preferred

Communication Skills:

· Knowledge of a second language helpful

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Mathematical Skills:

· Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Reasoning Ability:

· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment

· Present a professional image consistent with Macy’s brand values

Physical Demands:

· Instillation, setup and construction of props

· Ability to lift heavy object 75lbs+

Other Skills:

· Background in event or theater production.

• Physically fit with an ability to lift 75lbs

Work Hours:

· Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays
