POSITION SUMMARY:
The FOH assistant is responsible to ensure that empty tables are ready to receive new guests.
When guests depart, remove dirty dishes, sanitize the table, clean the seats and if necessary, sweep or vacuum the
surrounding floor.
Assist the Bartender with washing glassware, and be the assistant of the FOH employee
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Promptly greet guests as they are seated.
● Delivers exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment while performing Server tasks professionally, promptly, and efficiently.
● Responds appropriately to guest requests, communicate guest requests to server or bartender as needed
● Clears away dirty dishes, sanitize/set tables, clean seats/tables and if necessary, sweep or vacuum the surrounding
floor in a professional and effective manner.
● Help servers bring food out to a table and explain dish, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs
● Grooming of the entire restaurant and its perimeter
● Serve guests water, and provide refills as needed.
● Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
● Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
● Stock all service areas and maintain adequate supplies during the meal period.
● Ensure that each and every guest is treated in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
● Thank guests as they are leaving.
● Maintain personal health and sanitation standards based on health regulations.
● Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
● To follow all company/bar safety rules, policies, and procedures.
● Strict adherence to health department and food handling guidelines
● To immediately report all suspicious occurrence and hazardous conditions
● Present a professional appearance and in uniform at all times

REQUIRED LICENSE/QUALIFICATIONS:
● High School diploma
● Valid NY Food Handler’s Card
● Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
● Must be able to speak, read and understand English
● Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
SKILLS/APTITUDES:
● Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, kitchen staff, and team members)
● Ability to work in a team environment
● Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure
● Guest service oriented and possesses commitment to quality service
● Have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, multi-tasker and organized
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus
● Constant walking with some standing
● Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours)
● Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
● Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
● Will be utilizing POS system regularly
● Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
● The work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
