Responsibilities
Greet guests and introduce yourself in a friendly and courteous manner
- Explain any specials or restaurant promotions for guest awareness during greeting
- Answer guest questions accurately and politely about the restaurant, menu and store history
- Appropriately time food courses to ensure guests are not rushed nor do they experience lengthy service delays between courses
- Possess full knowledge of food and beverage products served and utilize suggestive selling techniques
- Process payment transaction accurately and efficiently through the point of sale system
- Assist host person with greeting and seating guests, as well as, work in gelato bar area when necessary
- Ensure proper set-up and cleanliness of stations before, during and after shift
- Communicate guest concerns to the manager
- Perform opening, closing and other duties as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area at all time
- Support other team members, as needed
- Protect company assets and maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal employment laws
Requirements
- Previous server or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
- Committed to reliable attendance
- Capacity to take directions and work with others
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Can safely lift 25 lbs. while maneuvering throughout the work area
