Job Overview:
The Site Merchandising team supports site operations, testing, and merchandising functions.  They enhance Macys.com success through partnering with business and support teams to ensure flawless site execution and launch new site features and systems enhancements.  Site Merchandisers devise and recommend digital strategies that maximize the on-line assortment and drive site traffic.

Essential Functions:

  • Alignment of data across all customer touch points and devices, Establish best practices across competitive landscape; assist in promotion execution, brand shop execution, Facet and browse optimization.
  • Product Detail Page Optimization, Size & Fit Information, Attribution, Tagging, Page layout, Images, Reviews and CGC Optimization.
  • Taxonomy Optimization: Manage Header Fly out, Left Hand Navigation; work with SEO and UX team to develop best practices.
  • On Site Search – Optimize failed search terms, act upon trending phrases and key brands.
  • Optimize event execution inclusive of Promo Codes, PWPs and GWPs, Sequencing, Boosting.
  • Drive Affiliate & SEM results through weekly submissions of top performing offers.

Drive Digital Sales Performance

  • Identify online opportunities to increase sales , conversion and profit performance.
  • Strategize and collaborate with merchant teams to understand the business strategy, objectives and priorities.
  • Prepare and present Key Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to optimize taxonomy & search strategies, inclusive of competitive deep dives. Provide insights and strategies to determine next steps for best online experience.
  • Strategic cross-functional relationships (Merchants, Marketing, Creative Production, Production, and Internal Site Merchandise Partners) to leverage necessary resources in establish Best in class event execution.
  • Innovation and Improved Customer Experience
  • Competitive Analysis to gain insight and develop strategies.
  • Seek out opportunities to grow the business by improving the customer shopping experience.

Data Analysis

  • Work with business intelligence, experimentation and relevancy to understand and  develop comprehensive strategies for site audit.

Leadership

  • Assist with training & development of Assistants and trainees on the team. Share best practices across Site Merchandising to support total team growth.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree from 4-year college or university preferred
  • 3-5 years direct experience
  • Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business
  • Able to juggle multiple projects – can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
  • Ability and desire to take product/project ownership
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
