Student Spatial Analyst Part Time

The Institute of Environment is currently seeking a Student Spatial Analyst to join their team of professionals.

Duties to include:
Collect spatial data layers
Run analysis on the representativeness of network sites.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires coding in R. The applicant will have experience working with spatial data in R (vector and raster). The applicant should also be familiar with similarity indices and creating figures with spatial data.
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally, and in writing.

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
Upon graduating, student employment must end.
Work Schedule

 

Monday to Friday, up to 20 hours
Advertised Salary

$20.00/hour
