Job Overview/Summary
The Senior Supervisor of Warehouse Operations – Logistics supervises Warehouse Operations Supervisors and oversees the development warehouse personnel in proper procedures for correct and safe handling of materials. Assures that all warehouse employees comply with applicable procedures and regulations, and that all safety procedures are followed. This position also coordinates processes to ensure customer satisfaction. The Senior Supervisor, Warehouse Operations – Logistics also handles processes involved in a supply chain, liaising with multiple PL facilities. This is often a two-way process with return of goods. This role involves transportation, stock control, warehousing and ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials at multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Liaison with multiple PL facilities involved in a supply chain.
Oversee transportation, stock control and warehousing.
Ensure structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials at multiple locations.
Train and develop warehouse personnel in proper procedures for correct and safe handling of materials.
Assure that all warehouse employees comply with applicable procedures and regulations, and that all safety procedures are followed.
Coordinate and supervise all inbound and outbound shipments.
Support the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes.
Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs.
Manage staff training needs.
Set staff and team objectives.
Plan and execute a variety of projects.
Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
5 years’ professional experience in warehouse logistics.
Minimum 3 years’ managing all aspects of a team of professionals and/or support workers.
High School education or GED required
Associate’s degree in Business Logistics or related field-preferred
Experience in a pharmaceutical or nutritional environment- highly preferred
