The Parts House (TPH), one of the largest auto parts wholesale distributors in the Southeast and Caribbean, is looking for a talented individual to join its Warehouse team!
Summary:
Receive, stock, and distribute material and products within the warehouse location, pull merchandise to be sold or shipped.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Pull, sort, and organize merchandise.
Stock auto parts in a neat and presentable fashion on the shelves, bins or appropriate locations.
Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or carts, and bring orders to packing station, driver tables or shipping department.
Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner and use the computer system at times for troubleshooting lost or misplaced product or when the scanners are not operating.
Maintain quality control standards by checking each item as it is received or shipped.
Opens bales, crates and other containers.
Weigh or count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
Accurately pull orders to meet productivity standards.
Pull orders within the time frame given by the supervisor.
Maintain proper housekeeping in area of responsibility
Assist with any warehouse activities as directed by the supervisor.

Able to consistently arrive to work, meetings and appointments on time.
Physical Demands
Able lift up to 50 pounds. Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, and box knife.

Able to adapt to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment. Mandatory overtime may be required which could include weekend work.
Proficient Communication
Able to speak clearly and persuasively, listen carefully and respond accordingly, participate in meetings, and read and interpret information.
Detail-Oriented
Must pay excellent attention to detail; thoroughly complete a given task.
Positive Ethical Conduct
Treat people with respect, cooperate, keep commitments, maintain emotional self-control, work with integrity and uphold organizational values.
Dependability

Observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, and report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials in a safe and proper manner. No non-managerial employees may use a cell phone in the warehouse at any time.
Computer Proficient
Previous experience with scanners and pc based systems preferred.
