Position Summary:
Responsible for creating a theater curriculum for preschool age children. Lessons should utilize movement and music as a teaching tool; this will be a process-based class with less emphasis on final product.
Essential Functions:
Refresh existing 9-week theater curriculum for preschool age children
Build lesson plans for each class
Create a budget for supplies
Lead students through their theater lessons
Assist with drop-off and pick-up at the beginning and end of each camp day
Classroom preparation and clean up
Education, Skills and Experience:
Experience working with preschool age children
Passion for theater education
Interested in combining art forms as a tool to teach theater (using movement and music to teach each lesson)
Summer Clubhouse runs Monday-Friday from June 28th-August 27th (Specialists must be available for at least 7 of the 9 weeks of camp.)
Hours are 8:00am-1:00pm (this includes prep time before campers arrive and clean up time after they leave)
Specialists are paid $100/day
