Univision is seeking a talented and experienced associate producer based in Miami. This position will be responsible for working on the daily production of the news show Aqui y Ahora. The associate producer in this role will be required to work on the daily news rundown, development of supers, information banners and graphics. In addition, the candidate is required to have control room experience for brief and bulletins production, quick reaction to breaking news and news updates. The candidate will need to have editorial input and needs to have excellent writing skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Development of supers and informational banners
- Development and production of daily news graphics.
- Researches information and obtains materials necessary for production
- Control room experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications/Journalism or equivalent experience
- News writing skills.
- Strong news judgment
- Fast reacting to breaking news
- Ability to step out of the box and take charge of situations.
- Flexible schedule. Weekends and holidays.
- Fluent in Spanish (read and write)
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Inews and Viz graphics
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills
- Social Media skills
- 2-3 years’ control room experience
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be willing to work from office in Miami, Florida
- Employment/education will be verified
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours
