Univision is seeking a talented Audio Operator (A2) for the Technical Production Services Department. Responsibilities include proper microphone and IFB placement and be proficient in the use of all broadcast equipment and technology within operating areas, including but not limited to; microphone and IFB signal flows, wireless PL systems, mix minus, intercom devices and all associated hardware and software, broadcast routers, remote “crash cart,” and trucking procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Upkeep and use of microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems and audio systems
Monitor frequency of microphones, IFBs (Interruptible Fold Back) and RTS boxes
Change all batteries on microphones, IFB’s and RTS boxes
Position mics on all talents and guests
Distribute communication boxes and is responsible for their return
Work directly with A-1
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year experience on live shows
Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics
Knowledge of various types of microphones , receivers and transmitters
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Knowledge of IFBs
Knowledge of RTS receivers and transmitters
Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft office)
