Virtual HIV Care Advisor – Miami, FL – 2694631 Full Time

The Care Advisor serves as a point contact (phone, email, SMS) for patients to provide resources and assistance with accessing clinical and supportive care activities offered for the program. The Care Advisor provides patients with education and information to understand product and their disease, to educate patient about side effect management, and support patient adherence to prescribed therapy. The Care Advisor will offer only approved services and program materials.

Additional CARE ADVISOR Duties:

Respond to inbound calls and make scheduled outbound call for patients. Interactions utilize scripts and approved FAQs.
Provide patient support information for patients on prescribed therapy
In conducting calls with patients, the Care Advisors will identify potential barriers to treatment; may utilize approved assessments or other approved techniques to help mobilize patients to access Patient Services.
Care Advisors will use proprietary CRM and telephony to maintain information and track patient progress and to trigger calls, correspondence, or other program directed activities.
Provide education to help patients better communicate with their respective health care providers.
Education to support prescribed therapy consistent with FDA approved indication and dosing: disease state information, side-effect management.
Any additional duties as assigned by program management.
Job Qualifications:

Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree Preferred
Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
Direct patient education/patient support experience required
Experience in remote/virtual call center providing patient education and support preferred
Experience in case management or AIDS Service Organization (ASO) highly preferred
Knowledge of HIV patients and issues required
Experience in motivational interviewing preferred
Demonstrated time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to work with enthusiasm
Demonstrated ability to effectively build positive relationships
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to changing work environments and responsibilities
Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Flexibility to work evenings
Dedicated home workspace
Bilingual on English/Spanish preferred
