Applicants must be local to the Clearwater, FL area, and available to interview within the next week or two as we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. QA rep brings their expertise and knowledge in fabrication to build some of the most complex and custom steel fabricated equipment and machines. Critical to the production process this position inspects and ensures the quality of welds and dimensional accuracy of work performed by production staff.

This is a second shift position, and we are looking for someone who can work 4:00pm to 12:30am, during training it will likely be an earlier shift. Our second shift is primarily Spanish speaking, so a English/Spanish Bilingual Weld Inspector is necessary.

Core Responsibilities & Qualifications

-AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (or VT Level 2 is Preferred, MT, PT, VT, & RT Level 3)
-If you do not possess the certification, we are willing to train and reimburse you for the certification.
-At least 5 years experience in a steel fabrication facility is required.
-At least 2 years inspection experience in a steel fabrication facility is preferred.
-Keep attention to detail and documentation
-Ability to listen, learn and follow directions.
-Aptitude for Microsoft Office, calculator, applied quality tools.
-Ability to walk/work inside or outside in a shop environment
-Ensure internal/external Non Conforming (NCR) are properly administered and archived.
-Ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
-Perform a dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, which includes final paint inspections, weld preparations, final welds, and mill-tests.
-Identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers.
-Candidates must be bilingual.
