Job Description:
Ana Wines & Spirits specializes in sustainable, natural, biodynamic and organic wines and craft spirits with tastings every week on Thursdays. The Wine Store Sales Associate is passionate about wines, has an extensive wine knowledge and is responsible for helping our guests with every inquiry and guide them on their wine & spirits selection. We are looking for a full time Wine Shop Sales Associate to join our team!
Wine Shop Sales Associate Duties:
– Greet every guests and provide support and guide them through their wine & spirit selections
– Study our products in terms of varietal, farming practices, distributor notes, etc to a point they feel comfortable describing them to our guests.
– Add labels to bottles and price as needed.
– Tag wines with descriptions and notes from the team.
– Opening and closing the store on time.
– Stock shelves and maintaining a neat and clean display.
– Ring all sales in our POS and maintain our system accurate and updated – both for in person and online sales.
– Ensure the cash drawer is stocked for opening shifts and cash is properly stored in the safe for closing shifts.
– Maintain cleanliness all around the shop – dusting bottles, shelves, table surfaces, refrigerator, breaking down boxes, vacuuming occasionally.
– Communicate with the wine store manager constantly about day to day operations and in a timely manner when extraordinary situations happen.
– Support with other administrative duties as indicated by the Wine Shop Manager.
An ideal candidate has Sommelier experience and restaurant experience is also welcomed and is passionate about the food and wine industry. They feel comfortable suggesting food and wine pairings and engaging with clients – strong people skills are highly desired.

Wine Shop Sales Associate Compensation:
– $20-30 per hour depending on experience and wine knowledge
