Summary
Barry University, Athletics Communications Department is currently seeking Federal Work-Study Communication Assistants to assist the department with game management functions and office duties. Game-day responsibilities include operating scoreboards, statistics programs, video streaming, and camera operation. Office duties include the production of game-day publications, maintenance of digital photo archive and other office protocols.
Essential Functions
Must be punctual and professional in dress and behavior
Must be able to take on duties of a technical nature with limited supervision
Setting up and taking down game-day facilities
Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time
Must be available nights (after 5:00 pm)and weekends (including both Saturdays and Sundays).
Qualifications/Requirements
Barry University student who has been awarded Federal Work-Study funding for the current academic year.
Excellent communications skills
Intermediate computer skills
Physical Requirements
Office environment
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, crouch, push and/or pull
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Work environment includes outdoor weather conditions, noise and other game-day related factors
