La YMCA del sur de la Florida está contratando a un especialista en nutrición con experiencia para unirse a nuestro equipo en la YMCA del centro de Miami. Bajo la dirección del Director de Iniciativas Corporativas de Salud, el Especialista en Nutrición ayudará a los miembros a establecer y alcanzar sus metas de salud y bienestar a través del entrenamiento nutricional adecuado. El puesto adaptará los planes individuales para los miembros basados en evaluaciones y evaluaciones individuales para ayudar a mejorar el estilo de vida a través de hábitos alimenticios saludables. Esta función tiene un título de trabajo adicional “Administrador de nutrición” que se utiliza durante las horas administrativas para desarrollar, implementar y promover el Programa de Nutrición.

Las responsabilidades del especialista en nutrición incluyen:
Research, develop and deliver nutritional programs and services for members and corporate clients both in-person and virtually.
Ask and answer questions from program participants and members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and well-being.
Provide current information, education, and support to members to effectively facilitate change in his/her lifestyle.
Participate in nutrition related community outreach activities, such as health fairs, public speaking, virtual lectures, and any other health and wellness programs with a nutrition element.
Build authentic, professional relationships with members; help members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA.
Work directly with personal trainers to tailor meal plans to members based on his/her body composition goals.
Schedule and manage participating members programs and appointments.
Show courtesy, compassion and respect.
Handle all member data with discretion and utmost integrity.
Report any issues (including injuries if incurred during time with Nutrition Specialist) to Healthy Living Director and / or Executive Director and complete the proper paperwork immediately following any issue/injury. This information must be reported to the Human Resources Department within 24 hours of incident. Serious injuries must be called in to Human Resources immediately.
Nutrition Admin responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively within the Healthy Living team to develop and implement high quality nutrition program and promotions.
Meet with members and offer introductory nutrition services to promote program participation.
Conduct outreach calls to encourage members to participate in the nutrition programs.
Communicate initiatives effectively; demonstrate high level of conscientiousness; uphold personal responsible for one’s own work.
Develop nutrition-based articles for YMCA use in newsletters, YMCA SFL app, social media, etc.
Partner with Director of Corporate Health Initiatives / Healthy Living Directors to develop special events that promote nutrition and meet community needs at the family centers.
Liaise with Healthy Living Directors to share resources, program ideas and related nutritional programming.
Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics or related field or current Nutrition Certification. Registered Dietitian Credential preferred.
CPR certification must be attained within 90 days of hire.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Bi-lingual preferred, English and Spanish (fluent in both languages).
Knowledge of the principles related to the improvement of overall nutrition.
Excellent organization skills
Self-directed.
Ability to effectively communicate nutrition information to target audiences (verbal and oral) – must communicate effectively across socio-economic and cultural lines.
