Gig Overview
Have an iPad and able to work on your feet? Looking for a flexible schedule and to earn some extra cash on the side? Then you may be a great fit for AkitaBox’s GigFM program!
The GigFM program involves visiting local client facilities to walk their buildings, collect information, and take photos of their building assets (things like generators, fire extinguishers, or HVAC systems). AkitaBox will work with you to determine a schedule that works best for you, and our easy to use software means you will be trained and ready to make cash in no time.
How it Works
Get trained by AkitaBox team members on our software, data collection processes, and best practices
Arrive on-site to client facilities on agreed-upon days and times
Complete data collection within facilities by:Identifying assets and capturing a photo, nameplates, and serial numbers
Placing QR code sticker on assets
Verifying floor plans are accurate to the actual building and providing markups in the software if there are differences
Communicate with AkitaBox team members while onsite and attend recap meetings
Get paid
What You’ll Need
Safety materials like earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, face masks, etc.
Cell phone to communicate with AkitaBox team while onsite
An iPad with adequate storage (preferably a minimum of 1GB)
What to Know Before Applying
GigFMers are intended to be local so you can easily reach client sites without extra expenses (AkitaBox will not reimburse for travel-related expenses)
Bring comfortable footwear, much of your day will be on your feet!
Each gig is different, with different hours and pay based on the scope of the project
Gigs are NOT full time employment opportunities, you will be working as an independent contractor (1099 employee)
