Administrative Assistant (50 Applicant Maximum) Full Time

Performs administrative and office support activities providing customer service, clerical, secretarial, processing, mail sorting/delivery services, and/or internal Financial related duties, which may require varying degrees of independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; AND
One year of clerical experience;
OR
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.

Duties and Responsibilities

Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform one or more of the activities described below.

Works from Excel spreadsheets each day to print and mail out Case Manager’s daily correspondence.
Receives and sorts incoming mail for delivery to appropriate staff members. Scans mailed in eligibility requirement documents for document management into the ImageNow system for processing.
Prints/folds/mails out re-enrollment letters and termination letters generated each month. Organizes and adds required inserts.
Assists with the returned mail process.
Monitors inventory of paper envelopes and pre-printed forms and facilities ordering as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.
Job Specifications
Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Ability to maintain files and records.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to prioritize work.
Ability to use general office equipment and computer related equipment..
Basic knowledge of Excel and Word software.
Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment.
This job is largely a sedentary role.
May require an incumbent to lift boxes up to 20 pounds, open filing cabinets, and bend/stand as necessary.
Work Category

Emergency Management Responsibilities

In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.

Sex Offender and Sexual Predator record check using the list maintained by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
