Chef de Cuisine – Uptown Charlotte, $75k+++ (Charlotte) Full Time

Angeline’s at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel is looking for a Chef de Cuisine. This is a huge role within our culinary team and has wide ranging responsibilities. The ideal candidate with have experience in running a full service kitchen, with a diverse team and handling high volume. We are a scratch kitchen and are looking for someone with a passion for local ingredients and Italian cuisine.

Top skills we are looking for:
– High level of culinary experience. Familiar with cooking in a scratch kitchen, including prep, production, butchery, pasta making and so on. Need to be able to run the line and expedite, ensuring all plates are up to expectations.
– Managerial Experience: The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for hiring, employee coaching / discipline and training of staff.
– Menu Development: The CDC will assist the Executive Chef with menu development. We require items to be properly costed and thorough R&D to be done before approval. Creative freedom is not only allowed, but encouraged.
– Administrative Duties: The CDC will be involved in monthly inventory and ordering on a regular basis.
