The Outreach & Enrollment Specialist is responsible for recruitment and intake activities for individual grant programs. The position coordinates outreach activities college-wide, works with internal and external partners to ensure that efforts fully support the program and College mission, administers the enrollment process including the screening of potential participants and administering assessments to determine eligibility. This is a temproary Grant assignment. This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates initiatives designed to promote the College and the individual grant program Determines participants eligibility and administers assessments to screen potential participants Enrolls eligible participants in the grant program, collects participant data and maintains participant confidentiality Assists with grant program recruitment and retention of participants Coordinates initiatives designed to promote the College and the individual grant program Assists students with creating, following and adjusting their learning outcomes and individualized learning plans Assists with preparation of internal and external reports Identifies supportive services for participants as needed and records supportive services in student files Assists with site visits to external organizations when necessary Participates in various departmental, campus and College initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of relevant work experience
All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility Knowledge of student engagement and active learning strategies Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data for the purpose of reporting, while maintaining confidentiality Knowledge of student services processes (e.g., outreach, advising, recruiting, retention, career services) as well as success working with student service advisors Possess strong understanding of outreach programs and ability to make proper referrals Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff and various campus constituencies Ability to work flexible schedule that may include working evenings and weekends
Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
